Premier’s Reading Challenge
Congratulations to all the Roselea children who completed this year’s 2026 Premier’s Reading Challenge. Children will be receiving a special certificate from the Premier of NSW in recognition of their efforts. This certificate will come to the school in late Term 4. Children who have completed 4 challenges in a row will receive a gold certificate and children who have completed seven challenges in a row will receive a platinum certificate.
Children in K-2 automatically complete the challenge This is because they have 30 PRC books read to them during the year either by their teachers in their classroom or in library. They will also receive their PRC certificates.
As the challenge officially runs from September until the following August each year, we usually begin our new challenge in Term 3, Week 10. This means that many students can complete the challenge before the end of the school year and/or over the summer holidays. Roselea students can begin the challenge from this time. Any books they read from now on and during the upcoming school holidays will count towards their 2027 challenge.
