Mr Will
A number of our 5/6 students recently represented the school at the Basketball Lightning Premiership. It was fantastic to see them putting their skills into action, working together as a team, and demonstrating great sportsmanship throughout the day. We are very proud of the way they supported one another and represented our school, well done to all involved!

In Mathematics, students have been putting their protractors to work as they explore the world of angles. We have been learning how to recognise, measure and draw different angles, as well as use our knowledge to work out missing angles in different problems. Students have been building their confidence through hands-on practice and are beginning to see how angles appear in many places around them. It has been great to see their accuracy, focus and problem-solving skills developing throughout the unit.
In Social and Emotional Learning, students have been exploring the importance of being grateful for their bodies and recognising the many things our bodies allow us to do each day. We have been discussing the difference between positive self-talk and comparative talk, with a focus on speaking kindly about ourselves rather than comparing ourselves to others. This learning has also connected to the language students use when talking about their own bodies and the bodies of others. Students have been encouraged to use respectful, positive and thoughtful words, helping to build confidence, kindness and a supportive classroom environment.
Next we will be focusing on being Thought-ful and learning about positive food choices for our bodies.
