Principal's Report
Term 3
And just like that, we’ve made it to the end of Term 3!
It has been another big term at Concord School, with students and staff getting stuck into their learning, taking on new challenges and making the most of the many opportunities across the school. It has been great to see the continued progress our students are making, both in their learning and in their confidence, independence and connections with others.
As we head into the final term of the year, there is still plenty ahead, but for now it is time for everyone to take a well-earned break, recharge and enjoy some time with family and friends over the upcoming term break.
Looking ahead to Term 4, I will be taking a short period of Long Service Leave for the first two weeks and will return in Week 3. Flora Nixon will be Acting Principal during my absence.
Recent Highlights
There has been plenty happening across both campuses over the past few weeks, with some great opportunities and experiences for our students. Highlights have included Book Week and our fantastic dress-up day, the Secondary 7/8 Spectacular, Year 11 Presentation Ball, Victorian State School Spectacular and the Secondary 9/10 Showcase.
A big thank you to our staff for the work that goes into making these experiences possible and, as always, to our families for your ongoing support of the school.
SSGs – Variation to School Day
On Tuesday the 15th of September, we will be running a ‘Variation to School Day’ for our SSG meetings running from 10am – 6pm. This isn't a traditional day of schooling as students only attend for their individual SSG time as scheduled by parents/carers. You can find more information for this via Compass.
Last Day of Term
A reminder that Friday the 18th of September is the last day of Term 3. School will be finishing at 2:30pm. Please note that the buses will also be running to this earlier schedule.
We look forward to welcoming all students back to school on Monday the 5th of October.
Participate in the 2026 Parent / Carer Opinion Survey
A reminder that the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education is still open until the end of the term. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

The survey will close on Friday 18 September 2026.
Grimshaw Street Roadworks and Traffic Changes
From Monday 14th September, new traffic arrangements will be in place on Greensborough Highway, which includes U-turns controlled by traffic lights. This is because you will not be able to travel straight through the intersection if you are travelling on Grimshaw Street. These arrangements are expected to remain until mid-2027 while construction continues.

Demonstrating Grit – Callum!
Celebrating Callum, an outstanding student who consistently demonstrates determination, resilience and a positive attitude. Always happy, respectful and reliable, Callum approaches every challenge with a willingness to give things a go and never give up.
A proud representative of Concord School,Callum has shown incredible commitment across Cross Country, Field Track Day and Athletics Day, giving his best and proudly representing our school at every event. His perseverance through learning challenges and determination to keep trying truly demonstrate grit in action.
Congratulations Callum, on being a fantastic role model and showing us what it means to never give up!
