Rowing success

We're thrilled to report that a number of St Mary's College students have achieved gold medal success at the recent Rowing Tasmania State Championships, proving they are in a class of their own.

Congratulations to Olivia Walter and Maddie Higgins (Year 12), who were part of the U19 Championships winning crew for the coxless quad event. Maddie was also part of the crew that claimed gold in the U19 pair, U21 pair and U19 double events.

Congratulations are also in order for Ella Striker and Sarah Thomas (Year 10), who took out the U17 double event.

We are very proud of the grit and determination shown by our rowers. These results are a great reward for all their hours of sacrifice and dedication.

In more exciting rowing news, a group of SMC rowers are gearing up to represent Tasmania at the 2024 Australian Rowing Championships, to be held in Sydney from 18 March to 24 March. We're excited to share more details with you soon.
