It was a pleasure on the weekend to attend the Albany Sinfonia concert. Congratulations to all of the staff and students who played in both the About FACE choir and Sinfonia’s performance of Dvorak’s New World Symphony; especially to Ms Emma Luxton who conducted the symphony. It is a very beautiful piece of music that was really transforming and inspiring to listen to. 

Included this week are some photos of Mr Fowler’s VET Music students enjoying their classes, exploring the many facets of playing contemporary music together. They are preparing for their upcoming VET show and for Radioactive in Term Three.

Congratulations also to Maizee Marshall, Year Eleven, Finn Thomas, Year Eight, Grace Bailey, Year Eight and Grace Burrows Year Four who have been selected as our entrants to the Shaun Tan Award for Young Artists this year.
