PCV Coach Development & Assessment Weekends
Pony Club Victoria is excited to announce the 2026 Coach Development & Assessment Weekends, a fantastic opportunity for both trainee and qualified coaches to build their skills, complete assessments and connect with other coaches across the state.
Running from March through to November 2026, these weekends are designed to support coaches at every stage of their journey - whether you are working toward your accreditation or looking to refresh your knowledge and continue your professional development.
Expressions of interest to attend are now available through JustGo, allowing coaches to secure their place at one or multiple weekends throughout the year.
What to Expect
Each Coach Development & Assessment Weekend offers a combination of learning, practical experience and assessment opportunities.
Saturdays focus on coach development, including workshops, activities and learning sessions designed to enhance coaching knowledge and practical skills.
Sundays are dedicated to trainee coaches, providing the opportunity to complete practical assessments and progress toward achieving official Pony Club coaching accreditation.
Coaches are encouraged to attend as many Saturdays as they wish, using the sessions as an opportunity to expand their knowledge, share experiences and strengthen their coaching confidence.
A Successful Start in Central Zone
The first Coach Development & Assessment Weekend for 2026 was successfully hosted by Central Zone on 14-15 March at Riddells Creek Pony Club.
The weekend provided valuable learning opportunities for coaches and trainee coaches, including Gear Check Accreditation, Coaching Games, Coaching Teams Riding & Assessing E/D/D* at Club Level. We extend a sincere thank you to the assessors and demo riders who generously gave their time to support the program.
Upcoming 2026 Coach Development & Assessment Weekends
Additional weekends will be hosted across Victoria throughout the year, making it easier for coaches in different regions to participate.
