IGNITE 2027 intake – ACER Testing

On Saturday, 21 February, we welcomed more than 50 year 6 students to Aberfoyle Park High School for 2027 IGNITE intake testing. 

During the morning, students completed a series of assessments in reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning, abstract reasoning and written expression.

Testing concluded at midday, with results set to be released in term 2. IGNITE students make up a significant portion of our year 7 cohort each year, and we look forward to welcoming some of these students to our IGNITE program in 2027.

Year 7 Life on Earth Expo – Thursday 2 April 2026

Parents and caregivers of year 7 IGNITE students should have received an email invitation for our upcoming Life on Earth Expo, scheduled for Thursday 2 April.

Throughout term 1, our year 7 IGNITE students have delved into the ‘Life on Earth’ unit, exploring the essential needs that allow individuals to survive and thrive within their community. 

Students have investigated diverse social and environmental concepts, learning how people are motivated to live well and the systems, structures, and resources necessary for a healthy society.

We are excited to showcase what our students have learned at the Life on Earth Expo, held in the old kindy building located up near the Hub Shopping Centre. 

For convenience, the best parking is available in the Coles Carpark, though there are a few spaces behind the nearby Restaurant on the corner. Signage will be in place to help guide you.
