Get involved: School Clubs 2026 at Aberfoyle Park High School
We have a wide variety of clubs currently running at lunchtime at Aberfoyle Park High School this semester.
School clubs provide fantastic opportunities for students to develop new skills, make friends, and explore their interests outside the classroom. We encourage parents and caregivers to talk to their children about joining one or more of our clubs and to make the most of the activities on offer. Participation can build confidence, foster teamwork and create lasting memories.
Learning 4 Life: Personal Safety Practical Lesson
In week 4, our Learning 4 Life students participated in a Personal Safety practical lesson as part of their Adulting unit, where they are exploring how to stay safe and confident in society.
Throughout the session, students engaged in real-life scenarios designed to build awareness, decision-making skills, and personal responsibility.
This practical lesson encouraged students to think critically about everyday environments such as public transport, workplaces, social settings, and online spaces.
Most importantly, it empowered them with strategies to trust their instincts, make informed choices, and take proactive steps to protect their wellbeing.
We are proud of the maturity and engagement our students demonstrated as they continue developing essential life skills to help them navigate the world safely and independently.
Boxing with the Boxing Brothers: building strength, confidence and respect
Students from years 7 to 9 have been stepping into the ring, learning the art of boxing with mentors from Boxing Brothers. This unique program isn’t just about throwing punches; it’s about building fitness, focus, and self-belief.
Each session starts with the basics: proper boxing stance, hand positioning, and simple combinations like the jab and cross. Students are guided through drills that improve footwork, balance, and coordination. But perhaps the biggest workout comes from the heart, students are learning the discipline and respect that go hand in hand with the sport.
Mentors from Boxing Brothers bring real experience and positive energy, teaching that boxing is as much about mental strength as physical skill. Between skipping ropes and pad work, students practice teamwork, perseverance, and goal setting—skills that extend well beyond sport.
Teacher support and peer mentors help make every session inclusive and encouraging. For some students, this program has become a great outlet for stress and a way to boost their confidence both in and out of the classroom.
By the end of the term, participants will not only know the basics of boxing but also what it means to stay motivated, disciplined, and supportive of one another—on the mat and in life.

Harmony Day celebration at Aberfoyle Park High School
Our school community recently came together to celebrate Harmony Day in a vibrant fashion. The day was filled with a range of engaging activities, including free ribbons and stickers, face painting, temporary tattoos and mindful colouring.
These activities helped create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for all students and staff.
The beautiful weather and lively music added to the festivities, fostering a real sense of connection and celebration. Students also enjoyed a casual clothes day, contributing to the relaxed and positive vibe that was felt throughout the school.
We are delighted to announce that our Harmony Day efforts raised $343.60 for the Australian Red Cross. This generous contribution will support the Red Cross in their important work helping communities in need.
Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making Harmony Day such a wonderful success. Your support and enthusiasm truly embody the spirit of harmony and inclusion at Aberfoyle Park High School.
