Year 9 Outdoor Pursuits Aquatics at Port Noarlunga
On Friday, 20 February our year 9 Outdoor Pursuits classes enjoyed a fantastic day of aquatics activities at the Port Noarlunga Aquatic Centre. With light winds, warm weather and clear ocean conditions, it was the perfect opportunity for students to experience a range of aquatic activities.
Our students represented Aberfoyle Park High School with pride, participating enthusiastically and engaging positively in all activities throughout the day. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves, building skills, and embracing the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom.
Welldone to all students and thank you to our staff for supporting this valuable extension to our Outdoor Pursuits program.

SACE Stage 1 Outdoor Education: Metropolitan coastline field study
On Tuesday 10 February, our SACE Stage 1 Outdoor Education class undertook a field study of the metropolitan coastline. The purpose of this excursion was to develop students’ understanding of coastal processes and to examine how management strategies are applied to ensure environmental sustainability.
During the field study, students explored various stakeholder perspectives regarding the use of the coastline and evaluated the outcomes of different coastal management strategies. The group was very active, walking several kilometres along the coast and engaging in thoughtful discussions about environmental issues.
We are pleased to report that our students represented themselves and Aberfoyle Park High School with maturity and enthusiasm throughout the day.
