🟩 A message from Mitchell Shire - School Crossings

▪️We have recently seen an increase in unsafe driver behaviour around schools and in particular school crossings in Mitchell Shire, including poor parking, drive throughs, speeding, and ignoring School Crossing Supervisor instructions. 

▪️We have also noticed some risky behaviour from students, such as not using the crossing properly or being distracted by phones, riding bikes and scooters, parents not using the school crossing and crossing in areas that are not safe and if they do use the school crossing not listening to the SCS. 

We take our school crossing supervisors safety seriously as well as your student’s safety and we have zero tolerance for parents, guardians, and any person parking illegally around a school zone, “Park illegally and we will fine you”.
