Primary Year 3-6

What a fantastic and fast-paced term it has been! It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached the end, with so many exciting events and learning opportunities packed into the weeks. From engaging classroom activities to fun-filled events like Pyjama Day, Reconciliation, Confirmation and weekly Taekwondo lessons. It’s been a term full of energy, creativity, and growth. As we wrap things up next week, it’s time for everyone to take a well-earned break. We hope the holidays bring rest, fun, and family time. Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for Term 3!

🔎I Spy… Isabel Stolz (Yr 3), Amelia Stevens (Yr 4) and Kaylee Eaton and Annabelle Gooden (Yr 5) were spotted displaying the PBL focus 'Challenge myself to continually improve'(Excellence) and were the winners of our fortnightly canteen voucher raffle draw.

Our PBL focus for the next two weeks is 'Represent the College with Pride'. Teachers will be looking out for students who consistently make good choices both in the classroom and out in the yard.

🐾🌿 🦘Year 5 Explore Kyabram Fauna Park🦘 🌿🐾On Friday 20th June, our Year 5 students enjoyed an action-packed day at Kyabram Fauna Park, exploring animal adaptations and survival strategies up close. From kangaroos and koalas to cassowaries, dingoes, quolls and meerkats, there was no shortage of incredible wildlife to observe. Students also visited the reptile enclosure, spotted several native bird species, and climbed the viewing tower for a breathtaking look over the wetlands. A very special moment was seeing Linguini the Tasmanian Devil take part in a live training session—an unforgettable and rare experience!

Take care if you are travelling on the roads these holidays and thank you for your continued support throughout this term.  😊

✝️Confirmation✝️

Yr 6 celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation last Friday night with a Mass led by Bishop Rene Ramirez and Fr Eugene.

The children had all worked hard to be ready and prepared for the evening. It is always a big night for them with the Mass being said by the Bishop! They all read very well and remembered what they had to do. The children were very excited to see Mrs Brock before the Mass as she came to wish them well.

Thank you to Fr Eugene for his support throughout the preparation. Thank you to Tanya Oakley who printed the names on all the stoles as she has done for many years - thank you Tanya!!

And finally thank you to all the families, staff and students who sent messages of support or helped in any way - the children really appreciated it.

Yr 6 visited the Immigration Museum yesterday as the culmination to our History Unit on Waves- people across the years who have made Australia home

It was a wonderful experience for the children as they patriated in an informative lesson about the different ways people have travelled to Australia over the years or have been here for over 65,000 years as out First nations People.  We then had the opportunity to look around the Museum which many children found to be a moving experience.

The children are to be congratulated on their manners, participation and ability to move carefully around the museum space.

We are having a Leaning Expo on Tuesday afternoon where we hope our families can come and see all the work they children have done on this unit throughout Term 2.

All families are welcome to join us.
