STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Formal: Our Borinya Formal was an outstanding success and a true celebration of our students, our community, and the spirit that makes Borinya such a special place.
From start to finish, the night was filled with energy, pride, laughter, and plenty of fellowship. A huge congratulations to all our students, who arrived looking incredible and carried themselves with confidence, kindness, and genuine joy. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of connection.
Our Student Leadership Team played a massive role in shaping the night. Their ideas, planning, and willingness to step up ensured the event reflected our values and the voices of young people at Borinya. From choosing themes and music to helping set up, greet guests, and support younger students, their leadership shone through in every detail. An appreciation shout out to the dedicated staff who helped bring the night to life. Your planning, music dj-ing, and countless behind-the-scenes hours made the Formal run smoothly and safely.
A warm thank-you to our parents and carers, whose support throughout the lead-up helped make the night possible. From assisting with preparations to encouraging students to take part, your partnership continues to strengthen our community and ensure our young people feel supported and celebrated.
Student Leadership Team: A big pat on the back to our entire student leadership cohort for this semester. Their contributions across the term whether through planning events, representing Borinya on ANZAC Day parades, supporting peers, or modelling our values, they have made a noticeable and positive impact on our school community. Their growth, teamwork, and willingness to serve have been appreciated by students and staff alike.
SANDHURST AWARDS
On November 20, Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited (CESL) held the inaugural Sandhurst Awards which recognise the educators and students who light the way in Catholic education.
Borinya was represented by Ruby Holland and Dylan Graham both of whom were nominated for the Spirit of Sandhurst Award for the great gifts they bring to our community.
We congratulate Dylan in being the recipient of the Spirit of Sandhurst Award! This award recognises and celebrates a student who embodies the values of respect, inclusion, and active learning.
We are so very proud of his commitment to our Borinya community, his consideration and inclusion of others, the role model he continues to be and his determination to always do better to ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
