Interschool Tournament

University High School Places 3rd in Chess.

The UHS Chess Club had a roaring success at the Zonal Qualifiers on Tuesday the 11th of August at Brunswick Secondary College.

For the first time in recent years, seven students represented UHS, with five qualifying for the Regional Tournament being held at Penleigh Essendon Grammar School on Wednesday the 9th of September.

All seven students including one student from our Lonsdale Street campus contributed to an outstanding 3rd-place overall finish for UHS.

Students who qualify from the Regional Tournament will have the opportunity to compete at the State Championship, which will be held at the start of Term 4 at Xavier College.

Well done to everyone who represented UHS!
