Model UN Conference (German)

Our Year 9, 10 and 11 German students recently participated in an exciting Model United Nations (MUN) conference, where they represented a diverse range of countries, including the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Costa Rica, Vanuatu, Egypt, Türkiye, Barbados, Australia, the United States, Gabon and Tuvalu. Throughout the day, students debated the United Nations' Climate Change Goals entirely in German, demonstrating not only their language skills but also their understanding of complex global issues.

Students confidently delivered prepared speeches, responded to challenging questions, and engaged in lively debates, all while communicating in German. It was inspiring to see them grow in confidence as the day progressed, embracing the challenge of speaking spontaneously and persuasively in another language.

The German teachers are incredibly proud of every student for stepping outside their comfort zone, supporting one another, and representing their assigned countries with enthusiasm and professionalism. Their willingness to challenge themselves and communicate in German in such an authentic setting made the day a resounding success. Herzlichen Glückwunsch to all involved!
