Tips for Parents

• Establish a consistent bedtime and wake‑up time to help mornings run smoothly.
• Prepare school items the night before — uniforms, lunches, and bags ready to go.
• Create a calm morning routine with enough time for breakfast and getting organised.
• Talk positively about school to build confidence and a sense of belonging.
• Schedule appointments outside school hours whenever possible to reduce absences.
• Reach out early if challenges arise — the school is here to help support attendance.

Attendance

Attendance is an extremely important part of every child’s school life. Being at school each day supports routine, stability and predictability — all of which contribute positively to student wellbeing. Regular attendance helps children feel settled, connected and ready to learn, setting them up for steady academic and social growth.

At Boroondara Park, our students are expected to arrive at 8:45am, ready to line up at 8:55am. Lining up promotes safety, builds readiness, respect and strengthens the classroom culture.

A friendly reminder that if your child arrives at school after 9am, they are required to sign in at the office.
