Community Connection

At Boroondara Park Primary School, we know that strong community connection is central to student wellbeing, confidence and engagement. When students feel anchored to their school community—supported by friendships, trusted adults, and positive routines—they flourish both academically and socially. A connected community also strengthens families, creating a shared sense of belonging and purpose.

Over recent weeks, I have been actively advocating for Boroondara Park Primary School by strengthening our relationships with key community partners. I have connected with local kindergartens to ensure strong enrolment pathways, engaged with real estate agents to promote the exceptional opportunities our school offers, and met with local businesses to foster supportive partnerships that enhance our community presence. I have also worked closely with neighbouring principals to share insights, align approaches and champion the high‑quality education taking place at BPPS. These strategic connections help amplify our school’s story, reinforce our strong reputation, and ensure families across the community understand the value and strengths of choosing Boroondara Park PS

First Week

What a wonderful first week of school it has been! Our students have settled in beautifully, reconnecting with classmates, engaging actively in learning, and demonstrating the positive approach we value so highly at Boroondara Park PS. Classrooms are already buzzing with energy and excitement for the year ahead.

A reminder to Foundation families that Foundation interviews begin next Wednesday. These sessions are an important part of understanding each child’s needs and ensuring a smooth transition into school. We look forward to welcoming all of our new learners and families throughout the interview period.

Building Brilliance 

This year, our school theme is “Building Brilliance" on the strong foundations we have at the school. Together, we are focusing on the essentials of literacy and numeracy while ensuring every student feels a strong sense of connection through a wide range of extra‑curricular activities. Our dedicated staff will continue to build brilliance by embedding strong, research‑based instructional practices aligned with our school’s vision and direction. We are proud of the supportive, collaborative community that makes Boroondara Park PS.

High Expectations

Thank you to all families for supporting our expectations around punctuality. It has been wonderful to see so many students arriving by 8:45am and lining up ready for learning at 8:55am.

A consistent morning routine reduces cognitive load, stress and anxiety, helping students begin their day calm, prepared and focused. Being on time also supports learning opportunities right from the first minute of the day and sets students up for success.

A gentle reminder to parents: if your child is absent, please remember to record their absence on Compass. Accurate attendance information helps us support your child’s wellbeing and maintain strong communication with families.
