Year 9 Work Experience

Year 9 students have started getting organised for Work Experience, which will run from Monday 21 June to Friday 25 June 2027.

Work Experience is five days where students attend a workplace instead of school. It gives them a chance to see what a workplace is really like, learn about different jobs and get some hands-on experience.

Students will begin looking for a suitable placement and can use their Morrisby results and Career Action Plans to help with ideas about industries or jobs they may be interested in.

As part of the process, students will also need to complete their OHS certificates, upload them to the online Work Experience portal and complete the required forms.

We encourage students to start thinking about possible placements early and speak to family, friends and other contacts who may be able to help.

If you have any questions about Work Experience, please contact the Careers Team.

Year 8 Morrisby Interest and Aspirations Profiling

Year 8 students will soon be completing a short Morrisby profiling activity as part of their careers program.

The Year 8 profiling includes two short questionnaires looking at students’ aspirations and personality. It is a shorter version of the Morrisby profiling students will complete in Year 9 and is designed to get them thinking about their interests, strengths and possible career areas.

Students will be able to use their results to start exploring different career ideas and learn a little more about themselves and what they might enjoy in the future.
