VCE Art and Design Exhibition 2025

Can you believe it's that time of year again? 

On behalf of the Ballarat High School Art/Technology team, I would like to invite all friends and family of our talented graduating Art/ Design students to our annual Art and Design Exhibition evening! 

This incredible showcase of creative talent will take place on Monday 13th October from 7-9pm in the Highlights Gallery, 2nd floor of the Sedgwick Centre.

We will also welcome special guests and past students of Ballarat High School, Tarni Jarvis and Jett Leduc. As a young Djab Wurrung Gunditjmara designer, Tarni was one of only nine VCE Product Design and Technology students across Victoria invited to display her work, Parramal Puna Punai, or Little Emu Girl, in the annual VCE: Top Designs exhibition in her graduating year. Since then, Tarni has been presented with a number of creative opportunities, including her recent endeavour - designing the 2024 Western Bulldogs indigenous guernsey. 

Jett Leduc, our awards judge, will be back again after a very successful year of art achievements - graduating just last year! Jett was one of our art captains in 2024, receiving the acquisitive Wesley B Walters award, and the Art Creative Practice Excellence Award. Jett is currently studying Photography at Victorian College of the Arts. We are very excited for the return of Tarni and Jett!

The Art Tech night is a fabulous way to celebrate the creative achievements of our students and this year we will see the fabulous works of graduates in Art Creative Practice, Art Making and Exhibiting, Media and Visual Communication Design. 

Come along, enjoy some live music, food and most importantly, some inspiring art from Ballarat High’s best!
