Finals Fever
The winter sport season is heading towards its biggest moments, and there is plenty happening across the College this Saturday. With football semi-finals, rugby grand finals and tennis grand finals, our teams need the support of the SPC community more than ever.
Support our Football teams!
We have 14 Football teams playing semi-finals this weekend, all fighting for their chance to reach next weekend's grand finals. Even better, many of these games will be played right here at the College.
This is a great opportunity for our students to get out of bed, grab your mates and get down to the fields to support the teams.
Come down, watch a game, stay for another, and get behind your fellow SPC school mates. The atmosphere around the fields can make a huge difference to our teams, particularly when they are battling for a place in a grand final.
We already have seven football teams who have automatically qualified for grand finals next weekend, so there is plenty to celebrate — but there is still work to be done this weekend!
Rugby Grand Finals – Get Out and Support the 14 A and 16 A Teams!
Our 14 A and 16 A Rugby teams will be playing for premiership glory this weekend at St Gregory's College, Campbelltown.
This is a huge achievement for both teams, and they deserve plenty of support from the SPC community. If you're able to make the trip to Campbelltown, get along and cheer them on!
There is nothing better than seeing a strong group of SPC supporters on the sideline when our teams are playing for a premiership.
Tennis Grand Finals – Seconds, Thirds and Fourths
Our tennis teams are also featuring in grand finals, with the Seconds, Thirds and Fourths all competing at Blacktown Tennis Centre.
Three teams reaching grand finals is a fantastic result for our tennis program, and we encourage families, students and supporters to head out to Blacktown and get behind the teams as they compete for their premierships.
Next Weekend – Football Grand Finals
The football season will reach its conclusion next weekend, with the grand finals being held at the Macquarie University playing fields.
With seven teams already through and the remaining teams battling it out this weekend, we could have a very big SPC presence at Macquarie University next weekend.
But first, we need to get through this weekend!
So, get down to SPC 2 and SPC 3 this Saturday.
Bring your mates. Wear your Blue, Black and Gold. Get behind the teams. Make some noise.
Let's fill the College fields with SPC support and give our teams the home-ground atmosphere they deserve!
