Co-Curricular - Junior Sport Stage 3

Saturday 8 August was the final round of winter sport for the Junior School. There were many strong results across the codes, which resulted in six football teams remaining undefeated for the season. Well done to the Prep B Black, Prep C Black, Prep D, 5 A Black, 10 B and 10 C football teams. There were another nine teams across the codes that lost two or less matches for the season. When you consider the raft of teams we have in the Junior School, the winter season can only be seen as a success.

I would like to congratulate all our boys for their commitment, enthusiasm and efforts over the winter season. With not a lot of rain over the past few months, all teams played the majority of games. This can take a large toll on the body and mind. All our boys should feel proud of their resilience and performances over a long season.

I would also like to thank all our parents and wider community for your support of all the Junior teams. It is always great to see big numbers on the sidelines, supporting the boys in their games and cheering them on from the sidelines. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and I know the boys really appreciate the effort you make each weekend to get them to their games. Thanks for all the positivity you have shared this season.

To all our coaches that have worked so tirelessly over the past 10 weeks, thank you for your guidance with the boys. For the countless hours of planning and implanting training sessions and development of our players. We have seen great development in all our teams , across the codes and this is largely due to your efforts.

Finally, to Mr Tatola, Mr Falzon, Mr Conneely and Mr Davidson, thank you for all your work behind the scenes and your presence at training and Saturdays in support of the Junior School. It is through your guidance, program development and care of the coaches that have resulted in such a successful winter season. Thank you.

This week we wish Samuel U all the best as he represents NSW and the College in the NSWPSSA Rugby League School Sports Australia Championships. We know you will do yourself, family and College proud. We look forward to hearing about your experience.
