CQ University - Principal's Recommendation Scheme Applications close 23 November
At CQ University, we believe senior schooling results are an important factor leading to student success. We also recognise that other factors and attributes, such as motivation, talent, and passion, have a key role to play as well.
Our Principal’s Recommendation Scheme (PRS) provides a pathway for Year 12 students to apply to a range of undergraduate CQU courses based on their high school principal's recommendation rather than ATAR. Students can receive an offer without waiting for their Year 12 results and won't need to apply via a Tertiary Admission Centre for that same course.
Open to all Year 12 students; the Scheme is designed to assist capable students to access entry to CQ University; it in no way provides relaxation of the quality and academic standards that students must meet to complete their degree successfully.
Applications for Future Teacher Scholarships closes soon - 16 October
If your future plans include completing an initial teacher education degree or you are currently studying to become a secondary mathematics, science (must include 2 science subjects, one of which must be chemistry or physics), select technological and applied studies (TAS) or an inclusive/special education teacher (K - 12), you could be eligible for the Teacher EducationScholarship.
The Teacher Education Scholarship provides financial support of up to $7,500 (subject to tax) per year whilst studying full-time, a $6,000 (subject to tax) appointment allowance and a permanent teaching position with the NSW Department of Education following successful completion of studies.
