Over the past fortnight, the children have been actively engaged in a variety of fun, creative, and hands-onexperiences at OSHC. It has been wonderful to see the children showing creativity, teamwork, andconfidence throughout the program.
Autumn Experiences. The children enjoyed participating in autumn-related activities where they explored seasonal colours, nature, and creativity through art and craft experiences. These activities encouraged imagination, finemotor skills, and discussions about the changing season.
Playdough Fun. Playdough experiences continue to be a favourite among the children. They created different objects, animals, foods, and imaginative creations while strengthening their creativity, communication, and fine motor development.
Pancake Decorating. The children had a fantastic time decorating pancakes with different toppings and designs. This experience encouraged creativity, independence, and social interaction as children shared ideas and enjoyed their delicious creations together.
Bread Chips Cooking Experience. One of the biggest highlights this fortnight was making bread chips! The children absolutely loved thiscooking experience and kept asking for more and more. It was wonderful to see their excitement and engagement while participating in food preparation and tasting experiences.
Reconciliation Week Preparation. As we prepare for Reconciliation Week, the children have been discussing ways to show respect and understanding towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. The children are helping to plan meaningful experiences and discussions to recognise the importance of reconciliation and respect within our community.
Acknowledgement of Country. Children have been confidently taking turns reading the Acknowledgement of Country during group times. This has been a wonderful opportunity for children to build confidence, respect, and a sense of belonging while recognising the Traditional Custodians of the land.
Reminder to Families. A friendly reminder to families to please make casual bookings as early as possible whenever you can. This supports us in maintaining correct educator-to-child ratios and helps us provide the best possiblecare and program experiences for all children.
Have a wonderful fortnight!
