Message from the Principal

St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.

Welcome to Term 2 Week 4

Welcome to Week 4 - nearly the half way point of the term. How fast time is going! The weather certainly makes it easier to be on duty outside! I hope you too are enjoying this late burst of sunshine.

Our weeks continue to be full of many learning experiences and, as the teachers begin to collate data for the end of semester reports, we can see much progress is being made.

Mother's Day

I thank 1/2L for leading the school in recognising all the important mother figures in our lives. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and be celebrated!

Cross Country

A group of students attended the District Cross Country event on Monday. Running distances of either 2 or 3km, this was a good test of stamina. Well done to all students for participating:

Adonia, Anabel, Aradhana, Cecilia, Angelo, Aden, George, Eugene, Aaron, Jedd, Odeleyah, Shanaya, Rohitha, Caesar, Phardon, and Somiithran.

Thank you to Mr Dugan for orgainising the event and for Ms Tash, Mr Van Boxtel and (parent)Sabrina for helping on the day.

5 /6 Camp

There was a group of very excited students on Wednesday as our 5 /6 students headed off to Camp Allambee. How lucky are we with the weather this week? They will participate in many outdoor experiences and make life long memories. Thank you to Mr Tran, Mr Van Boxtel, Ms Tash and Ms Rashida for leaving their families behind for 3 days to support our students and provide such a great experience. Look out for recounts in our next newsletter!

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle

Our major fundraiser for the year is fast approaching. Please support the P&F at this event by volunteering some time on Saturday 30 May.  Read the P&F page for more information.

Wellbeing

I also encourage you to read the Wellbeing pages. We have been allocated funding this year for a Mental Health Wellbeing Leader, which Ms Tash has combined with her other roles as Wellbeing and Learning Diversity. She provides some information on this, plus other initiatives being utilised.

I hope you can all take some time to rest and refresh over the coming days.
