Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians and friends of Nazareth
Firstly, I take this opportunity to thank our Community for a successful semester. A multitude of activities have been provided to enhance our students’ learning experiences, many of which would not be possible without the dedication of our staff. Their willingness to volunteer their personal and family time allows activities such as camps, retreats, and overnight experiences to take place.
In addition, a number of significant co curricular events have been held, including the swimming, athletics, and cross country carnivals. These were thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended and displayed both participation and school spirit.
The College continues to be a school of choice, with strong and steady enrolments. This week, we welcomed 113 students from twenty five (25) primary schools who participated in our Taster Day activities. These events are invaluable in providing prospective families and students with a genuine insight into life as a secondary student at Nazareth. I thank our dedicated staff for their efforts in bringing the Nazarene experience to life.
Last week, our Year 12 students celebrated their formal. I congratulate Ms Gill Coyle, Chisholm Head of House, for overseeing the organisation of this memorable occasion. Our Year 12 students were outstanding and did themselves and their families proud.
This week, our Year 10 students are undertaking their Work Experience placements. All but nine (9) students successfully secured placements, which is an excellent outcome. I extend my thanks to our Careers and Pathways Team, Mrs Elena Flodstrom, Ms Theresa Lochery, Ms Naomi Pernar, Ms Willow Griffiths and Mrs Coreen Grimwood, for their dedication in managing the administrative and compliance processes to ensure meaningful and safe placements for our students.
Finally, after many months of planning, designing and preparation, Mr Roland Khayat’s Wood Technology class is bringing their outdoor exercise circuit project to life on the school oval. I thank the NCCA for their generous donation, which has enabled the installation of a soft rubber surface surrounding the circuit. All in all, this is learning at its best, active, practical, and deeply engaging.
Scholarships for the 2027 school year are now open. Applications close on Friday 10 July.
Please refer to the College website for further information. Alternatively, you may contact Ms Angie Palmer should you have any queries.
