Junior School

你 好 (ni hao) Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 families,
Welcome back to Term 3! We hope everyone's holidays were refreshing.
This week in foundation we start our new History topic 'Now and Then' exploring the history of me and my family. Over the coming weeks we'll be exploring our past and our connection to our family history. As we will be creating a personal timeline, foundation families are reminded to bring a photo from each year of their life so far.
As part of applying our new phonics knowledge, foundation students have started writing regular holiday and weekend recounts. We have been practicing sustained writing for 20 minutes and applying our spelling knowledge to an extended piece of individual writing. Some samples of this writing are available to view on our windows!
PMP starts next Tuesday for foundation. So foundation students are reminded to wear uniforms that are suitable for climbing or jumping etc and socks that are easily removed. We are still looking for some more parent volunteers to help support this program.
Looking forward to another busy term for all of Junior school!
Melinda (Miss Emmett) & Ash (Foundation), Beth, Cassie & Suzie (Year 1), Shaye, Emma, & Chelsea (Year 2)
