OSHClub News

Week 1

Welcome back to Term 3! We hope all of our families had a wonderful and relaxing holiday break. It has been fantastic welcoming everyone back to OSHClub and seeing all the children reconnect with friends and settle back into their routines. We are excited for another term full of fun and engaging experiences!

We've also had a small upgrade to our OSHClub queit corner, with some small resources to help understand our Emotion Zones and feelings better. Come and have a look next time you're in OSHC!

Our Breakfast Club was a great start to each morning, with children enjoying blueberry muffins, DIY flavoured milk, pancake muffins, breakfast burritos, and French toast. In the afternoons, Snack Squad kept everyone fuelled with homemade cheese and Vegemite scrolls, tacos, cracker and dip platters, pasta shells, and mini pizzas where children chose their own favourite toppings.

Our cooking experiences were a big hit this week as children baked delicious choc chip cookies and made traditional ANZAC biscuits from scratch. It was wonderful seeing everyone getting involved, learning new skills, and enjoying their homemade treats.

Creativity was flowing with a variety of activities including our colouring competition, paper plate decorating, fluff painting, cardboard mazes, recycled crafts, and a giant Jenga challenge that brought plenty of teamwork and laughter. We also lots of fun in our National Simultaneous Storytime where we read Trickshot Harry all together and did some fun activities based off of it. It was great to see the teamwork and reflection we did as a group while also keeping it soccer themed, tied to the World Cup!

Despite some wet weather, we made sure to stay active all week! Children enjoyed frisbee, footy, basketball, soccer inspired by the World Cup, and lots of fun group games both outside and in the school hall. Thank you for a fantastic first week back. We can't wait to see what the rest of Term 3 has in store!

Holiday Program

Our Winter Holiday Program was packed with excitement, creativity, and plenty of opportunities for children to make lasting memories with friends. Across the two weeks, children enjoyed a fantastic mix of excursions, special events, cooking experiences, cultural celebrations, and active games.

We kicked off the holidays by building incredible LEGO creations inspired by the World Cup before heading out to the cinema to enjoy Toy Story 5, complete with popcorn and water for everyone. Children also explored sports from around the world during our World Games day, learnt new skills, and celebrated different cultures through play.

Creativity was on full display as children built their own mini foosball games to take home, decorated delicious Cup Winning Cookies, and created colourful Papel Picado artwork while making dessert tacos during our Taco Time celebration.

A special highlight was our NAIDOC Celebrations day, where children explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through traditional games, stories, and meaningful activities that encouraged learning and respect.

The energy continued with our Gold Medal Grooves Dance Party, where children expressed themselves through music and movement, before one of our biggest highlights; the MiniRoos Soccer Clinic at the Matilda's training grounds. Children loved developing their soccer skills, building teamwork, and experiencing a professional sporting environment.

We wrapped up an unforgettable holiday program with our Final Buzzer celebration, enjoying a range of fun mini games, outdoor challenges, and plenty of laughter together.

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces throughout the holidays, with children embracing new experiences, forming friendships, and confidently trying new activities each day. We thank all of our families for joining us and look forward to another exciting holiday program in the future!

Accessing After hours

For the safety of all families, we ask that parents and carers enter and exit through the side pedestrian gate next to Reception when collecting children after hours, rather than through the reception area. This designated access point provides a safer route to the OSHC service and helps minimise the need for families to walk through areas that may not be supervised or accessible after school hours. Thank you for supporting our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for everyone.

Enrolling Your Child

For new enrolments, please go to https://www.oshclub.com.au/register/

A helpful video for navigating the iParent Portal and completing the enrolment process can be found on this page.

Please note: CRN numbers and all birth dates must be entered correctly if you wish to claim the Child Care Subsidy. CCS applications are submitted automatically to Centrelink when new enrolments are actioned.

Bookings

Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.

If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.

Cancellation of Bookings

IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:25pm to avoid a non-notified absence fee of $20.00 per child.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!

Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
