Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

Assumption Mass
On Friday, 15 August 2025, we were blessed to be able to celebrate as a whole school community Mass for the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. It was a joy to gather as a community to pray and reflect on God’s plan for us and respond to His invitation to us. The students were very well behaved and it is really pleasing to see the improvement in behaviour, respect and also the wearing of the College uniform. This is a credit to the students, but also the hard work of staff and the support of Parents, Guardians, Carers. Thank you for your support – it is a great blessing.
NCCA Trivia Night
On Friday, 15 August 2025, I was also blessed to attend the Nazareth College Community Association Trivia Night, raising funds to support our students attending the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in December this year. Again, it was a great celebration of our community with students, former students, Parents, Guardians, Carers and families present, enjoying the evening and each other’s company. The great atmosphere in the room and the very good numbers highlight what a great community we have, as well as how much we have grown over the last few years. Our community is supported significantly by our Community Association and we are very grateful for all they do to build community and raise funds to support. A big thankyou to the Nazareth College Community Association and to everyone who attended on Friday Night.
Parking
A reminder that we encourage Parents, Guardians, Carers to park off campus and make a place to meet their children to decrease congestion in the school car park. Please be aware that the Local Council have placed signs for parking restrictions around some streets near the school and have been fining people. Please check parking signs when parking around the College. If you are parking on Manning Drive, please encourage your child to use the Supervised Pedestrian Crossing when crossing Manning Drive for their safety.
Nazareth Events
Over the last few weeks, we have had the Nazareth 40th Anniversary Principal’s Dinner, the Nazareth College Community Association Trivia Night, and we have the Winter Sleep out this Friday. It reinforces the amount of events at the College. In addition to this, we frequently have over 20-30 different activities, camps, incursions or excursions occurring during a school week to enhance the learning opportunities for our students. There are so many opportunities for personal growth, development and learning that occur outside of and in addition to the many opportunities in normal classes. We are very grateful to all of the staff for the amount of time and effort they put into planning camps, excursions, incursions, sporting competitions etc. It s a great blessing to all our student.
Australian Catholic Youth Festival
In 2019, it was a joy to be part of the Nazareth group that journeyed to Perth for the last Australian Catholic Youth Festival. Each of the students that attended was touched and shared what a great experience it was for their own personal faith development and building of our community.
We are very excited for the 2025 Australian Catholic Youth Festival in December and see this as a great opportunity for a big number of our students from Year 9-12 to attend and grow closer to God, build and further develop their own faith and grow more aware of the richness of our broader Catholic community whilst becoming more connected to both the Church and Nazareth Community. We encourage all members of our community to join us in praying for the festival and that God will touch the hearts of all who attend with His love and all those He wants to attend will be there.
God Bless
