A message from our principal
We have come to the end of another incredible year at Sunbury College, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the graduating Year 12 students of 2025. This cohort has made a profoundly positive impact on our school community, demonstrating leadership, kindness, compassion, and a strong commitment to our values. Their legacy will be felt for years to come, and we wish them every success as they step confidently into the next chapter of their lives.
I would also like to acknowledge and thank our outgoing student leaders for their outstanding service throughout the year. Our school captains, Ayisha Abou-Eid and Austyn Edwards, and vice-captains Shreya Farwaha and Athena Avramopoulos, have been exceptional ambassadors for Sunbury College. Their initiative, compassion, and dedication have enriched our school culture and inspired their peers.
My sincere appreciation also goes to our School Council for their unwavering support and governance throughout the year. Thank you to Tracey Ozanne (President), Bernadetta Martella (Treasurer), Lance Robertson, Katie Nichols, Michaela Bench, Lachlan Bullows and Becky Annetts. Your commitment to our students, staff, and community continues to strengthen the direction and future of the college.
One of the highlights of this term has been the celebration of student achievements across several major events. Our Year 12 Graduation on Thursday 27 November, attended by more than 600 members of our community, was a wonderful recognition of our senior students. The Years 7–10 High Achievers Awards on Thursday 4 December showcased the academic excellence, perseverance, and growth of our younger students. We now look forward to the End of Year Awards for Years 7–11 at Lakeside Banquet and Convention Centre on the evening of Tuesday 16 December, where we will continue to acknowledge effort and excellence.
Thank you to all students, families, and staff for your contribution to a successful and enriching year. I wish everyone a safe and restful break and look forward to welcoming you back in 2026.
Best wishes
Craig O’Bree
