Welcome back to our second Term in Grade 3/4!
In Reading this Term, the 3/4s will be learning about a range of reading comprehension strategies such as predicting, summarising and making connections through reading books written by Oliver Jeffers.
In Writing this Term, students in 3/4 will write a variety of procedure texts, beginning with 'How to Make ANZAC biscuits' to 'How to grow grass heads'. Students will focus on using clear text structures and accurate punctuation to create effective instructional pieces.














This term in Numeracy, our Grade 3/4 students will be exploring a range of addition strategies designed to build confidence and improve efficiency when solving equations. Through hands-on activities and problem-solving challenges, students will learn how to choose and apply the most effective strategies for different situations. In addition, they will be developing their understanding of time, learning how to read both digital and analogue clocks and apply these skills to real-life contexts.


In Inquiry this term, students in Grade 3/4 will be building on their understanding of e-safety (internet safety) by applying their knowledge to a project of their choice. Throughout the unit, students investigate the different ways we use the internet in our daily lives and identify potential risks associated with being online.
They will explore practical strategies for staying safe in a range of contexts, including at home, at school, and within the wider community.
Students will demonstrate their learning in creative ways, such as designing posters, creating presentations, or developing digital resources to educate others about safe internet practices.
