Alternate Programs

As we approach the end of Term Three, I'd like to acknowledge that it has been one of the busiest terms for both teachers and students. I extend my thanks to all staff, parents, and students for their hard work and dedication.

I encourage all parents to reach out to us for updates on the work students need to complete as the school year draws to a close. We also offer support for those applying for employment or TAFE programs. Horsham College provides excellent resources in the apprenticeship and traineeship areas, and we would be happy to arrange a time for students and parents to discuss these options with us.

As we approach the September break, please take care of yourselves and your children. If students are feeling stressed as we get closer to receiving results, don't hesitate to contact us. Horsham has a range of services available to support you through various situations, even when the school is closed.

Alt Programs VET – Cert II in workplace skills

Congratulations to the 11 students who have successfully completed the second and last unit for the year, BSBTWK201 Work effectively with others. They have now gained a credit towards their VPC or VCE VM certificate. They have all shown great commitment to achieving something that will assist them with their endeavours post school. McKenzie Creek

Thank you for a wonderful term! We've navigated a lot of change together, including relocating into town, and our students should be proud of how well they've adapted. We're looking forward to returning to the McKenzie Creek campus for Term 4.

Wheel Talk 

On the last day of school, students will take part in WheelTalk, a hands-on session where students learn by playing wheelchair basketball. It's a great opportunity for students to build their understanding of diversity, acceptance, disability and inclusion.

Annual Camp to Port Fairy

Our annual camp will run from Monday 19th October to Wednesday 21st October. Regular McKenzie Creek classes will not run during this time for students not attending camp. Further details to come.
