Congratulations Milton!

Congratulations to Year 8 student Milton Ellis who recently represented Horsham College in Echuca competing in the State Championship Clay Target Shoot,

Well, done Milton on an amazing achievement and we hope you enjoyed the experience of competing against the State’s best shooters, also a big thank you to your family for being available to take you to Echuca to compete.

We look forward to seeing what you can achieve at next year’s school competitions.

Intermediate Girls State Netball

Our Intermediate Girls Netball team travelled to Melbourne on Sunday afternoon to compete in the SSV State Netball Titles on Monday, with the team coached by Miss Ruwoldt.

The girls got off to a shaky start in their opening game, going down by just six goals. It was a fantastic effort considering they had been 12 goals down at one stage. The girls showed great determination to fight their way back into the contest and finish strongly.

That comeback continued into their second game, where the girls produced an impressive 10-goal victory. Excellent team play, strong passing and some outstanding long-distance shooting helped the girls secure a well-deserved win.

The third game proved to be a very tough contest against a strong opposition. Despite the challenges, the girls continued to fight it out until the final whistle, showing plenty of resilience, teamwork and determination.

The experience of competing against some of the best school netball teams in the state was a fantastic opportunity for the girls. They represented Horsham College with great pride and should be extremely proud of their efforts throughout the tournament.

A big congratulations to all of the girls and to Miss Ruwoldt for her coaching and support. It was a fantastic effort to compete at the SSV State Titles and represent Horsham College on the state stage.

Black Ranges Athletics

Horsham College had 48 students qualify to compete at this years Black Range Athletics in Stawell, the team travelled to Stawell on Monday with some great results.

All students had an amazing day and represented our school amazingly, Mr Kirkwood, Piper and Jason were very impressed with all students and a special thank you to the Senior Boys who went above and beyond, they packed up both the High Jump pits the Stawell Little Athletics Club were very appreciative of your efforts.

We now move our focus to Greater Western Region Competition in Week 1 of Term 4, this will be held in Ballarat on Thursday 8th October.

Good luck to our 26 Students who have qualified to compete at the next level and again well done to all our students who attended the Black Range Competition.
