Lawn Bowls

Lawn Bowls Yr 4 and two Yr 3 students
On Monday 14th September, 16 of our students were invited to South Oakleigh Bowling Club to learn the skills of Lawn Bowls and have a fun day being part of a team.
There were 4 schools involved on the day and the students played a number of games in teams of 4.
I would like to give a big thanks to South Oakleigh Bowling Club. They were exceptional, each host being so generous giving up their time, being patient and attentive with each and every student teaching them the skills. Every time they stepped up to the mat, they were right beside them to help. The hosts really made it a great learning experience for all students concerned. It would be great if this liaison could be a yearly event, fostering young and old learning from each other.
A big thank you to Anita from Clarinda Primary School who took on the task of organising the schools. It was great also to share a bus with Amsleigh Primary School, another way our students made connections and learned to show good sportsmanship.
A wonderful day was had by all!
Yours in Sport,
Physical Education Teacher
