School Garden

Dear Families,

As the term comes to an end, I would like to share with you how some of our Year 3/4 students have been helping in the garden this term.

Once a month, selected Year 3/4 students work with me in the veggie garden, the garden at the side of the school, the garden in front of Mrs Pansino’s office and the garden leading down the steps to the oval.

The students are taught how to differentiate between a weed and a plant, how to remove weeds correctly, how to prune dead growth to prepare for new growth and how to generally clean up and care for our gardens.

These students will continue next term, so I hope to have more photos to share with you.
