Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden (SAKG)

The Waste Wise program from Monash council visited the 3/4s in which they learnt about what items go into what bin. They looked at rubbish bins (red lid), Recycle bins (yellow lid) and garden waste bin (green bin). Some items were a surprise to the students and they now know what to separate and what doesn't go into the bins.

Comments from Celina from Monash council was "I was so impressed with the students knowledge and awareness around sustainability as well as their amazing questions". 

The 5/6s obtained or renewed their wheelbarrow licences. They did a fantastic job of moving mulch into the garden and chook pen.
