What's On In 5/6

Buddies:
Our Grade 5/6 students had a wonderful time connecting with their Prep and Kinder buddies during their recent visits.
Students visiting Warekila enjoyed a Bush Kinder session at Koonung Creek, exploring nature alongside their buddies and experiencing the world through their curious eyes.
Meanwhile, students visiting Seedlings spent time getting to know their individual buddies through a range of fun activities, including making playdough, playing in the sandpit, and sharing smiles and conversations.
Back at school, our Grade 6 students were busy helping to prepare for the annual 100 Days of School celebration with their Foundation Buddies, one of the most anticipated events on our school calendar. Their enthusiasm and leadership helped ensure the day was ready to be a memorable occasion for our younger students.
Kitchen:
Our students have been thoroughly enjoying their fortnightly visits to the kitchen as part of our Kitchen Garden program. The first session was a wonderful success, with students baking delicious and nutritious rhubarb and lemon muffins. They loved measuring, mixing, and working together to create a tasty treat while developing valuable cooking skills.
The muffins were such a hit that there were even a few leftovers for our teachers to enjoy- which they were more than happy to sample!
