Celebrating 100 Days of School!

What an exciting few weeks we have had as we counted down to our 100th day of school! Over the past two weeks, our learning has been filled with all things 100. We explored what it might be like to be 100 years old, investigated how far we could travel by taking 100 steps, and used our mathematical thinking to heft and compare different bags containing 100 items. It has been wonderful to see the students' curiosity and excitement grow as they explored just how big 100 really is.

Last Friday, we finally reached the big day and celebrated in style! We began with a 100 Days Disco, complete with glowsticks, music and plenty of groovy dance moves. We then spent some special time with our buddies, who celebrated their own 100th day of school during COVID lockdown. Together, students worked with their buddies to design and construct imaginative creations using Unifix blocks and icy pole sticks.

The highlight of the day was our 100 Days Ceremony, where the students proudly performed their 100 Days song and dance and were presented with their special certificates in front of their families. It was a wonderful moment to celebrate how much they have grown and learned since their first day of school.

To finish the celebrations, families joined us for a special afternoon tea together. It was a lovely way to round out such a memorable day and celebrate this very special milestone with the people who have supported our students along the way.

What a fantastic 100 days it has been. We are so proud of our Foundation students and can't wait to see what the next 100 days bring!
