What's On In 3/4

Integrated

Students across our year level have been discussing, researching and writing about different Australian biomes including Alpine, woodland, tropical and desert environments. Students have been asked to consider the relationship between types of vegetation, animals and how environmental factors such as rainfall and temperature influence each other.

Kitchen

In the kitchen, our amazing parent volunteers have helped us create delicious and pungent falafels with tahini dip, salad and flat bread. The grade 3 students were excited to watch a new appliance - the food processor - for the first time in class, as well as the (parent volunteer operated) deep fryer. It made for exciting viewing and even better eating!

Writing

For the last few weeks, our 3/4 students have been working on creating biographies on influential people. This has been a great opportunity for us to practise what we have been learning about tense and using conjunctions to create compound and complex sentences. We look forward to seeing everyone’s finished work!
