Principal's Message

Senior Athletics

It was certainly a damp and cold day. They ran, jumped, threw, cheered their way through all sorts of weather at our Senior House Athletics. We were so proud of every student who pushed themselves to challenges both on and off the field, and we are so grateful to the David for organising the day. A big thank you to staff who along with the kids weathered the conditions and to our parents who helped out in the field, we could have done it without your support.

Community Crafternoon

A huge thank you to our Wellbeing Team Jonny, Kate M and Mel  for running such a wonderful Community Crafternoon.

Providing a welcoming space for our community to come together, get creative, connect and talk about wellbeing is so important. It was a lovely opportunity for families to slow down, enjoy some crafting and spend time together.

A special thank you to all the families who attended and helped make the afternoon such a success. We truly appreciate your support and hope you enjoyed the opportunity to connect with others in our school community!

See you at our next Crafternoon next term!

Parent Opinion Survey 2026

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.

Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

The link was sent via Compass on Monday.

The Parent / Carer Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 17th August to Friday 18th September 2026.

Ever wondered where your fundraising efforts go?

At MPRPS, the money raised through our fundraising efforts goes directly back into our students, our school and the experiences we are able to provide for our community.

From last years fundraising, your incredible support has already helped us purchase:

14 new iPads to support digital technology and learning in our Specialist classrooms.

A popcorn machine and fairy floss machine to help us make school events extra special for our students and families.

A new speaker system to support outdoor school events, celebrations and community gatherings.

Two large gazebos to provide shade and shelter at school events and activities.

This years fundraising funds this year will  contribute towards the ongoing maintenance of our new oval, which was announced in last week's newsletter.

Pre-loved Book Stall

On Friday 11 September the SRC's will be holding a Pre-Loved Book Stall!

To help us stock our stall, we are asking families to donate pre-loved books from home that are in good condition and ready to be enjoyed by another avid reader.

Books can be dropped off at the Office Foyer from Wednesday the 19th of August, in preparation for the stall.

On the day, students will have the opportunity to choose a great pre-loved book for just a $1 donation. All money raised will go towards supporting the Royal Melbourne Children’s Hospital.

Thank you for helping us give books a new home while supporting such a wonderful cause!
