St Patrick’s Day and Catholic Education Week celebrations were in full swing this week. On March 17th, we gathered as a school community for a liturgy in the hall, beautifully led by our Year 6 leaders. They demonstrated wonderful leadership and reverence, and we thank them for the care and effort they put into this special celebration.
On Friday, all our School Leaders proudly represented Sacred Heart at the Catholic Education Week St Patrick’s Day Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral. It was a meaningful celebration of faith alongside Catholic schools from across the Melbourne Archdiocese. The day continued with a Concert in the Park at Treasury Gardens, bringing together music, culture, and community. It was a prayerful and joyful experience, and a wonderful way to celebrate both our faith and Irish heritage.
The luck of the Irish is certainly alive, with leprechauns hard at work on our new playground and even the Queen of Ireland spotted among our staff! It’s fair to say our community is something truly special - perhaps even worth leaving the castle for, Mrs O’Brien!
