PFA News

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SURVEY FEEDBACK
Thank you to everyone who completed the recent survey on how PFA raised funds could best be spent enhancing our school play spaces and outdoor areas.
We received over 100 responses across all year levels. The results demonstrated strong support for improving active play and sports areas, but many respondents also highlighted the importance of non-sporting options for students such as lunchtime clubs, sensory play equipment and quiet areas.
Top 4 priorities (in no particular order):
- Soccer goals
- Basketball court resurfacing
- Four square courts and landscaping
- Replacing basketball backboards
Next steps
The PFA will now work with the School Council and leadership team to begin exploring costs for these four options (note it is unlikely we will be able to fund all four this year). We’ll share further updates with you soon.

Calling for Easter Donations
The PFA relies on the generosity of families to donate the other chocolate prizes, which are bundled up into prize packs. We’d also be grateful for donations of other Easter goodies (including non-chocolate related items such as craft activities).
Boxes have been placed in each classroom, and donations will be gratefully received until Tuesday 31st March.
So as you’re shopping over the coming weeks, please consider popping a few yummy chocolate goodies in your shopping basket or online orders - especially while they’re on special!
More Easter bunnies needed for wrapping night
We’re seeking parents to help wrap all the delicious raffle prizes on Tuesday 31st March from 7pm. Packing night is always a hoot, and an easy way to support this flagship fundraiser. SignUp here: https://signup.com/go/rfQFDNp
SAVE THE DATE- CPS MOTHER'S DAY LUNCH
The CPS Mother’s Day Lunch will be held on Friday 8th of May this year. Please pop the date in your calendar. More information to come, with tickets to go on sale soon via Qkr.
HOT CROSS BUN UPDATE
Unfortunately the CPS Hot Cross Buns fundraiser will not be taking place this year, as the PFA were unable to secure a new volunteer lead to coordinate, and there is no capacity within the current team.
CPS families are still encouraged to pop into longtime CPS supporter Bakers Delight Koornang Road to get their delicious hot cross buns this Easter.
If you are interested in coordinating the Hot Cross Bun fundraiser next year, please reach out to pfa@carnegieps.vic.gov.au
