New space, same dedication 

The Careers Team has a new space in the Marian Centre. We are next to the Wellbeing Centre and look forward to you coming and saying Hi. All the amazing resources are still available including the University and TAFE guides. The space is a credit to the hard work of Elena who helped design the space to meet the growing needs of our students. 

Morrisby Interviews 

Naomi and Theresa are completing the interviews and are enjoying the opportunity to get to know the Year 10s and their interests in the future. The feedback from the students about the results has been positive with students being pleasantly surprised about the accuracy of the suggestions. There have been a few wild ideas that students hadn’t thought was right for them, so it’s been a great discussion point. Students can share their results with caregivers following the instructions outlined here. 

VTAC Applications and Interviews 

A power of work was completed by Elena and Naomi at the end of Term 3 to ensure Year 12s wishing to apply for tertiary places have registered for VTAC and entered their preferences. Approximately 20 of our students have already been given a conditional offer for their preferred course. Conditional offers are given to students who apply, which allows them to know that if they meet the course prerequisites, they will be offered a place even if they do not get the ATAR.  This process takes some pressure of our Year 12s who need to stay as stress free as they can at this time. 

The final Careers Presentation for the 12s occurred on 13 October. The Careers Team wish all our Year 12s a happy, healthy and enjoyable pathway into the future.
