VET at Nazareth College

🏆Congratulations to Our Award-Winning VET Small Business Students!
A huge congratulations to our VET Small Business students, Renee Marie and Thalia Balaba, who achieved outstanding success at the Holmesglen VET Small Business Market Day, taking out the award for Most Sales on the day.
Their hard work, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit resulted in an impressive 80 sales, earning them the top sales award and a $100 Chadstone gift card.
This achievement is a wonderful reflection of the skills, dedication and professionalism our students develop through their VET studies. We are incredibly proud of their success and the way they represented the College. Well done on this fantastic accomplishment!
Building Skills, Exploring Pathways and Looking Ahead!
Welcome to Week 2 of Term 4! Our VETDSS students are back into their practical learning, developing valuable industry skills and working towards nationally recognised qualifications. It’s wonderful to see students continuing to build their confidence, knowledge, and experience as they explore future career pathways.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
VETDSS provides students with fantastic opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences, practical activities, and industry-focused training. Whether students are developing skills in hospitality, community services, electrotechnology, health, sport and recreation, or another VET area, they are gaining valuable experience that can help prepare them for further study, apprenticeships, traineeships, and employment.
We encourage all students to make the most of their VET classes, participate actively, ask questions, and continue working towards completing their units of competency.
Looking Ahead to 2027
Planning is continuing for our 2027 VETDSS program, with exciting opportunities for students to explore vocational pathways and develop skills for future careers.
Nazareth College is continuing to build its VET offerings, with new courses planned for 2027, including Certificate III in Health Services Assistance, Certificate III in Electrotechnology and the Multi Industry Pathways Program (MIPPS).
These opportunities will allow students to explore different industries, gain practical experience and make informed decisions about their future pathways.
Students who are interested in VETDSS for 2027 are encouraged to speak with the Careers Department to find out more about available courses and entry requirements.
✅ A Reminder for All VETDSS Students
As we move further into Term 4, students are reminded to:
- Attend all scheduled VET classes and arrive on time.
- Complete outstanding assessments and coursework.
- Communicate with trainers and the Careers Department if they need support.
- Continue demonstrating the respect, responsibility and commitment expected in a training environment.
Every class is an opportunity to develop skills, demonstrate your capabilities and take another step towards your future career.
