From the Principal

During our series of parent information evenings to commence the year, the College’s strategic intent for 2026 was unpacked, all with reference to our broader College goals detailed in our Strategic Plan:
- Enriching our Catholic Community of Faith
- Inspiring Educational Excellence
- Cura Personalis (Care for the Whole Person)
- Nurturing an Inclusive Community
- Sustainability
More specifically, an initiative aimed at strengthening the College’s communication and engagement with the broader community has been the development of our new College website. After much anticipation, I am pleased to report that our new website has now been officially launched. Developing a new website that attempts to capture the essence of who we are as a College is not an easy task, and I extend my thanks to everyone involved. Particular thanks are extended to Lisa Martella, who so expertly led this important project to completion.
While exploring our new website, you will also find the published 2027 calendar dates. Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA) will implement a three-week mid-year break for its 150 schools from 2027. Considering this, and to remain aligned with CEWA schools and other independent Catholic schools, the College will also follow suit.
Please note that with the introduction of the three-week mid-year break, the academic year will commence earlier in 2027. This earlier start will ensure the maintenance of the same number of face-to-face teaching days and professional learning days throughout the year.
Please see the 2027 calendar dates below.
Finally, we wish our musicians well for their Music Camp over the weekend. I extend my thanks to Head of Music, James Kros, Kath Alexander, Catherine Haydon, Liz Jennings, our music tutors and other accompanying staff. I also thank our Friends of Music and Drama (FOMAD) for their support, in particular Susanne Zerk, Julie Bosnich, Bruno Charpentier and Marie Yearwood.
