Principal's Report

We are already past the halfway mark of Term 1! There is a wonderful sense of energy and enthusiasm across both campuses and it has been fantastic to see students engaged, learning and having so much fun along the way.
Swimming Success
We are incredibly proud of River, who represented Millwarra at last week’s Upper Yarra District Swimming event. River competed with determination, did his very best and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout the day. He represented our school beautifully and showed our Millwarra values in action!
Our Newly Branded School Bus
Last week our school bus received its new branding and it looks fantastic! It is a wonderful way to showcase our school with pride in the wider community. Keep an eye out for it on our morning and afternoon bus runs.
Grade 6 Tops
Our Grade 6 students were thrilled to receive their new Grade 6 tops and have been proudly wearing them around the school. They look incredibly smart and it’s clear how special this milestone is for them. You certainly couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they showed them off! The tops are a wonderful way for our senior students to celebrate their final year of primary school and step confidently into their leadership roles.
Tiahn and I are also looking forward to taking the students out for a leadership session next week, where we will spend some time reflecting on what leadership means to them and planning some exciting initiatives for the year ahead. It’s wonderful to see their enthusiasm for making a positive contribution to our school community.
Parent Fundraising Meeting
We warmly invite parents and carers who are interested in supporting our school fundraising efforts to join us for a Parent Fundraising Meeting on Wednesday, 11 March at 2:00pm at the Millgrove Campus.
We are fortunate to have a wonderful committee already working hard behind the scenes collecting goodies for our Easter Raffle, and there are many exciting events planned for the year ahead. We are looking forward to coming together to share ideas, plan and continue building great opportunities for our school community.
Everyone is welcome and we would love to see as many families involved as possible.
Warburton East in Bloom
The beautiful crepe myrtle at our Warburton East campus has been putting on a stunning display of colour recently. Even on a rainy day, the vibrant pink blossoms brighten the school grounds and add to the peaceful, natural setting that makes our campus so special.
Discover Our School – Open Afternoon
We warmly invite families and community members to join us for a fun afternoon at each campus to discover what Millwarra has to offer. I will be there with our Wellbeing Leader, Tiahn, to assist with a scavenger hunt and provide tours of our beautiful school environments. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the wonderful learning and opportunities happening across our school.
Millgrove Campus - Monday, March 23rd, 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Warburton East Campus - Friday, March, 27th, 2pm - 3pm
