Grade Prep/1/2

This fortnight in the Junior Class we have been exploring personal strengths and differences that make us all special and unique. We have been exploring our own strengths and differences, as well as those of characters in texts. 

We have been reading 'Elmer's Special Day' and 'Sunday Chutney' in English. Students have enjoyed craft activities relating to the texts, as well as creating their own sentences comparing the stories and identifying characters, settings, problems and solutions. 

In Maths we have explored patterns, including skip counting. Prep students have explored recognising, continuing and creating their own visual patterns, and year one and two students have been learning to skip count by 2, 5, 10 and 3 from irregular and regular starting locations. 

We are looking forward to meeting with many families on the 1st of April to discuss students success, growth and goals.
