A message from Miss Russell

As we move further into the term, there are several important events and reminders for families.

NAPLAN – Commencing 11 March

Students in Years 3 and 5 will begin NAPLAN on 11 March. The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy assesses student achievement in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation) and Numeracy.

NAPLAN provides valuable information about how students are progressing against national literacy and numeracy standards and supports teachers in planning for future learning.

Families can support their child by:

Ensuring they get a good night’s sleep

Having a healthy breakfast

Arriving at school on time

Encouraging a calm and positive mindset

Further information for parents is available on the NSW Department of Education website:

https://education.nsw.gov.au/naplan

Cross Country Carnival – 24 March

As one carnival ends, another begins!

Our Cross Country Carnival will be held on Monday 24 March. We look forward to a fantastic day of participation, resilience and house spirit.

Parent volunteers are warmly welcomed. If you are available to assist on the day, please contact the school office. Your support makes these events possible and greatly appreciated.

School Uniform & Presentation

It has been wonderful to see the majority of students wearing the correct school uniform, including black shoes. Thank you to families for your support in maintaining high standards.

We look forward to seeing all students:

In full school uniform

Wearing a school hat every day

Taking pride in their presentation

Keep up the great work!

Punctuality Reminder

A reminder that school begins at 9:00am. Students should be at school and lining up when the bell goes. Arriving on time ensures a calm and successful start to the day.

Expressions of Interest – Year 7 2027

If your child will be attending a NSW public high school, parents can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) online. The “Moving into Year 7 at a NSW public school” website provides detailed information about the process, timelines and support available:

https://education.nsw.gov.au/public-schools/going-to-a-public-school/moving-to-high-school

We encourage families to utilise the online process and reach out to the school if you require any assistance, including if you need a paper copy of this document. .

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
