Calrossy Shines Bright at thrilling All Schools NSW Mountain Biking Series

Tamworth’s Mountain Bike Park was buzzing with excitement on Friday, August 9, as it played host to the All Schools NSW Mountain Biking Series Event. Riders from across the state flocked to the venue, but it was the Calrossy students who stole the spotlight, showcasing their exceptional skills and determination on the trails. Calrossy students Jock Barwick, Ben Shaw, Cameron McDonald, Lucas McDonald, Tyler Phillips, Harrison Crowley and Bec Sams all participated.

Ben Shaw's performance in the U15 Boys category was nothing short of spectacular. Not only did Ben secure first place, but he also earned the title of the Fastest rider of the day—a remarkable achievement that set the tone for the rest of the team.

Lucas McDonald wasn’t far behind, clinching second place in the U15 Boys category, further solidifying Calrossy’s dominance in this division.

The U17 categories also saw outstanding performances, with Bec Sams taking home the Champion title in the U17 Girls, while Jock Barwick came first and Cameron McDonald secured second place in the U17 Boys, proving their mettle in a highly competitive field.

But the success didn’t stop there. Calrossy’s collective efforts led to a triumphant finish, with the school earning the highest point score among secondary schools, a testament to the team's hard work and camaraderie.

The day was filled with adrenaline, determination, and school pride, as Calrossy’s riders demonstrated not just skill but also the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork that defines  Calrossy.
