Welcome back to Term 3. We have already been busy with excursions and sport and students have resettled quickly, many into new electives and classes.
Organisational Items:
Bus Travellers:
- There are no school buses running on Monday due to Sheepvention
- Students who live in town must catch Bus 8 and 14 (fare paying - $1.40) to go home or to HILAC for sport – you are not permitted to travel on shuttle buses from Monivae
- Bus passes to friend’s houses and sports training etc still require 2 day’s notice, through the Front Office – remember there are still no spare seats on the Glen/Dunkeld bus to access
- Please remain seated and you must wear your seatbelts at all times
Uniform:
- Full winter uniform is to be worn, including your blazer to and from school and at Assemblies
- White socks are to be worn with PE uniforms – grey/black socks under winter pants and navy socks/tights with kilts
- There are to be no hoodies worn under PE jackets at any time
Lockers:
- All students are responsible for a lock to always secure their locker door - and it must be engaged when you are not standing at your locker.
- People move through the basement constantly and a locked locker prevents issues arising.
Drop Off and Pick Up zones – with the increase in vehicle traffic:
- All students who are driven to/collected from school use the Monivae drop and go zone near the pedestrian crossing at the entrance to the basement.
- No student is to enter or exit a car near the Food Tech rooms or the bottom of the Excel wing.
- If parents are collecting students from both Monivae and St Mary’s, please use our preferred option of the Chevalier car park or if there is limited space in the Monivae/St Mary’s quick pick-up zone.
Once again this term will be full of opportunities for our students, including sports, Reflection Days, Mission Fair Day and more, and I encourage them to pursue their interests and make the most of these offerings.
