Catholic Identity Report

 A special welcome to all our new and returning children and their families. It has been lovely to see all your smiling faces.  We began our morning this morning with our Christian Meditation and the students were magnificent as they meditated. We will commence every Tuesday and Wednesday morning this way.

Once again, we hit the ground running with a busy first term ahead. Lent commences with Ash Wednesday on February 18th with our Yr 5 and 6 students to attend Mass and our Year 1 to 4s to attend a liturgy here at school.

I am to meet with our Yr 6 Justice Crew next Tuesday and we will organise our fundraising efforts for Project Compassion. Stay tuned for more information on this. 

Our Opening school Mass is to be held at 10am in the Multi Purpose Building (MPB) at Sacred Heart College on Tuesday February 24th. All are warmly invited to attend this celebration.

We are also going to celebrate our colour house Feast days. Luckily for Lourdes their Feast Day is next Wednesday February 11th. All students in Lourdes are encouraged to wear green for the day. We will meet in the Mercy Centre for the afternoon, having some fun learning about Lourdes and it's significance as well as celebrating this day.

The term will finish on Thursday April 2nd with a Holy Week Liturgy.

This year I am working Tuesday and Wednesday as well as every 2nd Friday.
