Senior School Update

It’s been an eventful couple of weeks in the Senior School! On Friday 12 September students across the Senior School took part in the Buroinjin Challenge, showcasing teamwork and resilience. Our Bake Sale was a sweet success, raising funds to support our sister school, All Saints Samoa, coinciding with Peter Everingham's trip as part of a broader AngliSchools delegation - thank you to everyone who contributed. We also celebrated Father’s Day with a warm breakfast that brought families together, and the Book Parade added a splash of creativity and colour across the campus.

Sensational Second-Hand Book Swap
As part of their Personal Development Skills (PDS) studies, our Year 12 VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) students were required to plan and implement a project aimed at addressing an issue in the community. For their initiative, the Year 12s organised a Second-Hand Book Swap for the Foundation to Year 6 cohort, which took place on Thursday 11 September.
The project was designed to highlight and respond to three important issues: the environmental challenge of book waste, the economic burden of purchasing new books, and the social concern of children losing interest in reading.
In the lead-up to the event, families and staff generously donated a wide range of quality second-hand books, with donations collected in classrooms prior to the swap. Thanks to the collective efforts of the school community, students across the Junior School had the opportunity to browse and select from over 400 books to take home, all while helping to promote sustainability and a love of reading.
This project was a fantastic example of our VCE VM students leading with purpose, while also providing a meaningful and enjoyable experience for younger year levels. Well done!
Early University Offers
We've been delighted to see four of our Year 12 students receive early offers for university degrees so far! These students have been working behind the scenes with our Careers Advisor Jade Drew to ensure their applications are where they needed to be.
Congratulations Shaun, Ava, Mackenzie and Abigail on securing your early offers.
